Traditional sticky rice craft villages of Phu Thuong, Tay Ho, Hanoi have been established since ancient times. In the ward, residential areas mainly cook sticky rice. Currently, the village has 463 households participating in the traditional profession of cooking sticky rice, with 1,001 people of working age, some households only sell around, some households take orders for weddings, filial piety, weddings... the market is diverse. In the village, there are large dealers specializing in selling ingredients from sticky rice, green beans, peanuts, sesame, corn... Every day, the whole village consumes nearly 7 tons of sticky rice. Every year, on the festival day of Phu Gia village communal house, a sticky rice cooking contest is held. One of the criteria always set by the contest for participants is the issue of food safety and hygiene. Every year, the ward organizes a training class on food hygiene and safety for households involved in cooking sticky rice. 100% of households engaged in cooking sticky rice in the village are registered and committed to absolutely ensuring food hygiene and safety.
